Seashells started in a small factory in Rossburgh in August 1993, sourcing locally and air freighting product from Cape Town. Due to an expanding business, we moved premises to New Germany, in April 1996.
Further growth, and the need to offer our customers a larger product selection, resulted in a joint venture with Ital Deli, our sister company. As of February 2013, Seashells and Ital Deli combined operations and moved to shared premises accommodating our current and future growth prospects. This has become the home of Seashells and Ital Deli.
Our passion is to supply quality products to the catering and hospitality industry, ensuring that we maintain the integrity of each and every product that comes in and out of our warehouse, incorporating food safety and traceability.

Seashells boast a varied product selection. Fresh oysters and fresh mussels are flown in twice a week. Meat and seafood products include salmon trout, Norwegian salmon, duck, quail, free range chicken, carpaccio and game. Seasonal products include fresh porcini mushrooms and artichokes. Products produced in-house include a range of filled pasta, pesto and sauces. A variety of pasta fillings are available such as meat, vegetable and three-cheese. In addition, a range of high quality fully imported Italian products from tomato to pasta, Grana Padano, salami’s, Parma ham, extra virgin olive oil, truffle flavoured condiments and sugar free jams.
